A 4 wheel drive car (4X4) and an experienced guide are necessary to travel overland and discover real Ethiopia.
4 wheel drive cars comfortably welcome 4 passengers and a driver/guide. If you are 5 or more, it is better to use 2 cars or a coaster bus.
We use appropriate cars in good condition and we assume all car expenses. Our driver/guides speak English.

| | | Personal budget
For your personal budget, you need 45 euros per person per day outside Addis Ababa for basic but clean hotels with private bathroom, food, water, drinks, entrances and the rental of boats on lakes. If you share one room, 70 euros per day will be enough for 2.
If you want more comfortable hotels, your personal budget should be 55 euros per person per day, or 80 euros for 2.
In Addis Ababa the range of prices is wider. For your first night in Addis, we recommend the quiet and comfortable Ras Hotel. The price is 20 euros or 27 USD for a double room. You will always be free to choose your hotels.
These personal budgets are indicative. We prefer you to pay directly for your personal expenses. So you just pay for what you want and what you take.
